Step 2 Instructions

To successfully diet your dog you need a target weight to aim for. This target weight (healthy weight) can be identified through combining your dog’s current weight with their body condition score.

Body condition scoring is simply a “look and feel” assessment of your dog where you observe and then feel your dogs body, and then compare your assessments against a Body Condition Scale of 1-9.

Here’s how to do it:

Once you have made your assessments use the Body Condition Slider Tool in Step 2 to give your dog a Body Condition Score. This will automatically generate your dog’s healthy target weight.

(If your vet has already provided a target weight, you may edit the generated target weight by updating the target weight field.)

Once your dog’s wellness check is completed, please proceed to Step 3.
